The ASA 2008 Student Awards
Most business, media, marketing or advertising related courses include the self-regulatory controls for advertising in their curriculum. The ASA Awards encourage students to explore this area beyond the requirements of their course through the development of their own ad campaign.
The Awards recognise work that shows an accurate understanding of the self-regulatory system for controlling advertising content and the benefit it brings to consumers and the advertising industry.
Entry requirements
The 2008 awards were open to any full-time student up to the age of 18 studying business, media, marketing or advertising related courses at GCSE, AS Level, A Level or equivalent. Students could enter individually or as a group.
To enter the awards, students had to create an advertising campaign for a new high performance sports car that adhered to the ASA guidelines.
