The ASA again had a stand at the annual Trading Standards Institute Exhibition. The ASA works closely with Trading Standards Departments to ensure consumers aren't mislead by advertising. In 2002 the ASA started a programme of presentations to Trading Standards officers around the UK with the aim of improving the working relationship between the two bodies and to help officers understand the ASA's remit and powers.
