Led by the ASA Chairman, Lord (Chris) Smith of Finsbury, the ASA Council is made up of 15 members, two thirds of whom come from a diverse range of professional backgrounds and are independent of the advertising industry. The remaining third have links with the advertising industry. As two current members of the Council are coming to the end of their term of office the posts are being advertised to the public through the national press.
The two new Council members will start work from April 2008. The closing date for application for the two vacancies is 18 December 2007. For further details of the role and requirements and for an application form please click here: www.asa.org.uk/appointments
