Ultra-sonic pest repellents

Action: Contact Copy Advice before publishing any ads for ultra-sonic pest repellents

The CAP Compliance Team is concerned by the recent appearance in the national press, magazines and other media of problematic advertisements for ultra-sonic pest repellents.  To date neither CAP nor the ASA has seen robust evidence to show that these products can effectively deter garden and household pests (including rodents, mice, cats, dogs and moles.   Ultra-sonic pest repellent products should be advertised on an availability-only basis; ads should not contain any direct or implied claims suggesting these products work.    Please ensure you contact Copy Advice before publishing any advertisements for ultra-sonic pest repellents.
