Misleading and Irresponsible Advertising: Antwi Electric Limited breaks UK advertising rules for implying that privately-owned electric scooters can be used in public places on the www.antwielectric.com website.
The ASA has previously investigated ads for electric scooters and ruled that implying privately-owned electric scooters can be used in public places is misleading and irresponsible.
Despite repeated requests from the CAP Compliance team, Antwi Electric Limited continue to advertise videos showing the use of privately-owned electric scooters in public places. In the absence of an assurance to amend its advertising, the CAP Compliance team took the decision on 3 December 2024 to place its company details on this section of the ASA website.
Because of Antwi Electric Limited continued non-compliance, we took the decision on 27 November 2025 to reissue its company details on this section of the ASA website.
These details shall remain in place until such time as Antwi Electric Limited has appropriately amended their advertising on the www.antwielectric.com website to comply with the CAP Code.
