Misleading Advertising: Centre of CPD Excellence breaks the UK Advertising Code for making misleading and unsubstantiated comparative claims about prices, features, and service benefits against identifiable competitors on its website, www.centreofcpdexcellence.com.
During the investigation, CPD Excellence did not provide the ASA with evidence to substantiate the comparative claims or the statements made regarding independent accreditation, industry experts, and standards. The ASA therefore concluded that the claims were misleading and unsubstantiated.
The CAP Compliance team contacted CPD Excellence but, in the absence of an assurance that the website would be amended to comply with the Code, took the decision on 2 April 2026 to place the company’s details in this section of the ASA website. These details will remain in place until CPD Excellence removes or appropriately amends the claims on www.centreofcpdexcellence.com to ensure compliance with the CAP Code.
