CAP consulted on a relaxation to the rule on depictions of individuals under the age of 25 in gambling ads. CAP's online remit extension brought betting websites into the scope of the Code. These had been previously allowed to feature young sports people. The extension of the Code changed this and industry asked CAP to consider an exemption.

CAP concluded that it was reasonable to grant a limited exemption. Sportspeople under the age of 25 may be used to depict bets that they are the subject of. However, they may not be depicted in a way that endorses gambling. The ban on depictions of under 25s continues to apply in all other gambling advertising.
