Clearcast operates the clearance system for TV and Video-on-Demand commercials. They check ads before they are shown on television to make sure they follow the UK Code of Broadcast Advertising (the BCAP Code), sometimes applying timing and scheduling restrictions, and will defend any complaints made to the ASA on ads they have cleared.
