Erratum statement: minor corrections to our reports on children's exposure to age-restricted ads

We have published an erratum statement to correct some of the figures stated in the ASA’s reports ‘Children’s exposure to age-restricted TV ads’, published on 1 February 2019, and ‘Children’s exposure to age-restricted TV ads: 2018 update’, published on 19 December 2019.  The figures that were corrected relate to the number of seconds that were calculated using duration weighted impact data, which served to provide contextual information that accompanied the unweighted impact figures.  The average weekly unweighted impact figures presented in the reports is the principal metric used to measure children’s exposure to age-restricted ads examined in the reports; those figures remain unaffected.

The erratum statement can be found in our resource library.  Both reports have been re-published with the corrected figures.
