Background

Misleading advertising: Airbrush UK is in breach of the UK Advertising Code for featuring misleading five white stars in green squares reviews underneath their product listings – on their website tryairbrushuk.com.

In the ruling, the ASA Council considered that consumers would expect the reviews and testimonials on the website to reflect the genuine views of customers who had used the Airbrush 5-in-1. As the ASA Council did not receive any evidence to show that the reviews were genuine, they concluded the reviews to be misleading.

The CAP Compliance team contacted Airbrush UK but, in the absence of assurance to amend their website to comply with the Code, took the decision on 14 October 2026 to place their company details on this section of the ASA website. These details shall remain in place until such time as Airbrush UK has removed or appropriately amended the claims on tryairbrushuk.com to ensure compliance with the CAP Code.
