In 2019 the number of cases referred for independent review decreased in-line with the overall reduction in the number of rulings made by the ASA.
This review found that the proportion of cases where corrective action was considered necessary remained very low and well within our quality target expectation of having no more than 3% of formally investigated cases where a corrective action is identified.
