The ASA has been regulating environmental claims made in ads for many years to ensure consumers are not misled and that ads are responsible. As part of our efforts to understand how we can go further in our regulation in this area, we've conducted research looking at consumer understanding of terms and claims used in ads and whether there is the potential for consumers to be misled by them.
