We work closely with the Committee of Advertising Practice, the body that writes the Advertising Codes, to train marketers and advertising practitioners on how to understand and follow the rules.  We participate in CAP’s Advice:am training seminars for advertising professionals. Go to CAP’s Advice:am calendar.

We also provide bespoke seminars for those companies and organisations wishing to improve their understanding of the ASA, the requirements of the Advertising Codes and how they are applied. We can tailor the seminar to the specific needs of the company or organisation in question. There is a charge charge of £900 (750 + 20%VAT) for these events. For information on how we can help your company, please contact events@asa.org.uk.

We often welcome schools, colleges and universities to our offices for presentations, and we will also consider requests from educational establishments for a visit from one of our speakers. If your school, college or university is interested to find out more about the ASA’s work and how advertising is controlled in the UK, please contact events@asa.org.uk for further information.

  • Public events

    Public events

The ASA routinely organises seminars and consultation events to raise awareness of the way advertising is controlled and to gauge public and industry views on the application of the ad rules.

Past seminars cover topics such as advertising to children, alcohol advertising, environmental claims and violence in ads. For reports from past events, go to our Reports and research section

    ASA Agency Graduate Training Seminars

The ASA will be running their annual training sessions for graduates from advertising agencies on 29 and 30 October 2013. The seminars are an excellent opportunity for graduates to gain an understanding of the advertising regulation system set up and how it is supported by the advertising industry.

As well as a presentation from members of the ASA & CAP, there will be a lively workshop session where they can discuss advertisements and topical issues.

Theses event will be open for registration in September.
